Hotel Cabot Las Velas
A low-lying mineral oasis optimized for expansive panoramic views
In the gardens of Hotel Cabot Las Velas, we completely reimagined the communal space, replacing the old hedges and grass with a clean, low-maintenance layer of rich volcanic gravel.
To achieve a visual rhythm, we designed strategic clusters of ground-covering plants like lavender, prostrate rosemary, stipa grass, and blue agapanthus, combined with structural dwarf palms (Chamaerops humilis) and exotic Agave attenuata.
We intentionally restricted the height of the plantings to preserve completely open, unobstructed views of the pool and mountain scenery from any window, transforming a previously cramped environment into a spacious, elegant retreat.
