Sant Llorenç Estate
A sustainable landscape designed as a gradual reveal
Situated in a warm, dry region, the Sant Llorenç garden is a model of arid sustainability, utilizing drought-tolerant native plants that preserve Mallorcan identity.
The design keeps the villa hidden from the main gates, allowing the architecture to appear as a surprise emerging from natural vegetation at the end of the entry path. Centenary olive trees are planted in irregular, asymmetric positions, while vertical cypresses evoke a classic Mediterranean silhouette.
Around the residence, a grass garden featuring Stipa tenuissima introduces motion, so that looking through the windows, the wind creates a soft, continuous dance across the landscape.
