Binissalem Garden
Framing the Tramuntana mountain range as the true protagonist
This garden frames the Serra de Tramuntana as its true protagonist, blending color, movement, and open spaces to create a serene, contemplative Mediterranean landscape.
The design is structured around two main planting lines that preserve the memory of the former orange grove while maintaining unobstructed views from the residence.
The Green Line (lower tier), closer to the house and contained by a low wall, integrates existing Citrus sinensis and is enhanced with Gaura lindheimeri, Lavandula dentata, and Rosa 'KORbin'.
The Pink Line (upper tier) is designed for high visual impact and movement, creating a natural prairie effect with Muhlenbergia capillaris, pink Gaura lindheimeri, Stipa tenuissima, and Pennisetum alopecuroides.
At the heart of the pink line, a dedicated rest area is enveloped by grasses and three Yucca elephantipes — a point where wind, light, and vegetation converge to elegantly frame the distant mountain range.
